My family isn’t really into traditional tomato pasta sauce… we love Alfredo Sauce. Tonight I threw together what I had in the fridge and every person at my table raved and my youngest even had 2 helpings of pasta… this is a kid who HATES pasta night. So I will take that as I did really well.
- 2 sticks (1 cup) of butter
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tablespoon arrowroot or cornstarch (optional)
In a saucepan on medium heat, warm the butter; once melted add the whipping cream, mix thoroughly.
Add the arrowroot and stir until thickened.
Next incorporate the Parmesan Cheese and stir until melted.
Pour over your choice of pasta and toss. Add a little extra to the top of your pasta if desired!
