I recently broke my hamburger press and looked at purchasing another one to replace it. However, I came across a stuffed burger maker and decided to get that one instead so I can make cheese stuffed hamburgers for dinner.
Gluten Free cheese stuffed hamburgers
Makes 5 burgers
Ingredients:
- 30 oz Ground Beef
- 6 oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Tablespoon Ketchup
- 3 Tablespoons Melted Butter
- 2 Tablespoons dried minced onions
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 5 gluten free English Muffins, toasted (by Glutino)
Directions:
Divide ground beef into 3 oz portions; shape each portion into a patty (Total of 10 patties).
In a small bowl, stir together cheese, ketchup, butter, onions and worcestershire sauce.
Spread equal amounts of filling over 5 of the patties to within 1/4 inch of edges.
Dampen edge of patty with water. Top each patty with remaining patties and pinch edges of meat together to completely enclose cheese filling.
In a large frying pan on medium-high heat add oil then your 5 stuffed burgers.
Evenly sprinkle seasoned salt on each burger.
Cook until browned on both sides and done to your liking. If there is leftover cheese mixture then top each burger with cheese mixture and melt.
Serve patties with English Muffins.
